In our work in “Energy Healing” we are learning that most individuals with chronic and “invisible illnesses” such as fibromyalgia (FMS), chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS), and chronic pain have blocks to healing that  are toxins.

We have characterized this as the “Full Barrel Syndrome” for all these conditions but it really was first applied to environmental illness and MCS.
If we envision the barrel as the human being the barrel slowly (or quickly in some environmental toxin exposure cases) filling up with toxins.

When the barrel fills up these toxins pour out the top and wreak havoc on the human system.

We are presently being exposed to thousands of toxic compounds in the form of inorganic chemicals and toxic metals. These substances are everywhere: The air we breathe, the foods we eat, the water we drink and bathe in, as well as drugs, vaccines, cleaning products, paints, solvents, glues, herbicides, pesticides and fertilizers.

Due to this constant exposure, our bodies are now storing hundreds of these toxic metals and chemicals. Studies indicate that we have between 400 and 800 toxic metal and chemical residues stored in our bodies. They accumulate in our fat cells, in our major organs such as the liver, kidneys and brain; in our glands such as the thyroid and adrenals; and throughout our central nervous system.

Virtually all of us are now in a state of toxic overload. No wonder our populations are becoming sicker and sicker. Small toxic exposures each day (from common sources such as breakfast cereal, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, perfume, deodorant, hair dye, newspapers, magazines, exhaust fumes, carpets, new mattresses, dry cleaning or a newly-painted bedroom) will increasingly exceed and even incapacitate your body’s ability to detoxify, causing these chemicals to accumulate to a level that will make you sick.

FMS, CFS, MCS and other illnesses that seem new to the last few decades
are what may be called

“canary in a coal mine” illnesses.

Coal miners used to carry canaries in cages with them into the mines. If they entered an area where a toxic gas was present or being released the canary would die first-warning the miners to quickly leave the area.

We theorize that people with FMS, CFS, and MCS are more sensitive to these ever increasing substances in our environment-and they are showing it by developing these diseases.

In almost every case when we screen for toxic chemicals, foods, inhalants, and other toxic substances we find them.

Our goal is then to eliminate the toxin exposure or at least reduce it to an amount that will

allow the body to heal itself!

One can view these toxins like a curtain (or even a brick wall) that keeps the body’s innate ability to heal from “seeing” the disease.
If we can lower toxin load we can allow the body’s inherent healing mechanisms to begin to work.
